Over the last 4 years our journey has been amazing and we would like to thank each and every one of our backers for coming along with us!

Our business has evolved significantly as well, and as a result we are working with Kickstarter to change our KS name to Loke Battle Mats (from Battlemats) to reflect our company name and brand. 

Loke Battle Mats is the brand we operate under and you will be able to find our products in local gaming stores and online now, so it is important to us that our name on Kickstarter reflects this.

Kickstarter have allowed us to make this change so that we can continue to be accountable to you, our backers, for both past and future projects. It matters to us that we are fully transparent about who we are and which products we produce, which is why we are updating you on this name change.

New Kickstarter

Our new Kickstarter is for double sided neoprene tabletop battle mats with a stitched edge featuring a space design on one face and a terrain on the reverse.

Designed to provide a mix that players of popular space and skirmish games can use for both types of game.

The new Kickstarter is being run as a Quickstarter, so simple rewards and no stretch goals.

This means we'll be able to go from Kickstarter to fulfilment very quickly.

Battle Mat Book Kickstarter Update and Free Digital Mat

I'd like to let you all know the status of our current Kickstarter for Battle Mat Books and accompanying digital designs.

We're in the last 48 hours of the Kickstarter, are fully funded and have nine unlocked Stretch Goals.

There is a low level (£3) pledge that only includes digital copies of the designs we've not previously released, which currently stands at 60+ designs.

Battle Mat Books Kickstarter

My new Kickstarter is live, I'm proud to present:

Battle Mat Books for Fantasy and Sci-Fi Tabletop RPG Games

This is the format I mentioned in the previous update, a wire bound book that can lay flat on the table and provide a large variety of battle mats to use in your games.

The A4 fantasy version is already produced and I'm realy happy with how it's turned out.

The feedback I've been hearing is that a larger format and a Sci-Fi version would be popular, so that's what this Kickstarter aims to do.

Digital Reward

I've also placed a low cost reward tier in to cover just digital copies of any new designs produced, which is going to be at least 10 designs, but it's likely to be more.

This is for anyone who has the existing Battle Mats designs but would like some more at a Kickstarter special rate.

Salute and the Big Book of Battle Mats

Salute 2018

For any backers who are going to Salute 2018 in London this Saturday; we'll be there as part of the GamingBooks stand, TC02, on the map between Simple Miniatures and Battle Foam. There will be a selection of RPG mats from our current range available, alongside our wargaming mats, gaming accessories and a range of RPG books.

Big Book of Battle Mats

We've been toying with other formats for bringing RPG Battle Mats to the gaming table and are very happy to announce a new product, the 'Big Book of Battle Mats'.

This is a 58 page wire bound A4 book that can be carried alongside your rulebooks and will lay flat on the table and used as either a single page (8x12 grid) or double page spread (16x12 grid) for encounters in your game.

There are 29 double page spreads with a mix of designs from our range including wilderness terrain, outdoor ruins, caves, dungeon rooms and town streets.

The book itself is printed on heavy 300gsm paper and gloss laminated. Pages can be drawn on with non-permanent, dry-wipe or chalk makers and wiped clean.

Our initial batch has almost sold out already, but we'll have more in next week and are accepting pre-orders, it can be found in our shop here.

We're also tempted to bring this idea to Kickstarter too; as the Kickstarter process will help show if there is interest in expanding the range to include other volumes (Horror, Modern, Sci-fi etc.) or formats (larger/smaller size etc.).

Any comments or ideas on this are more than welcome.
